Dear Friends, The “Virtual Knowledge Network” is possible because of like minded and powerful people like you. We at NIMHANS along with our collaborator Project ECHO, UNM strongly believe in “Diffusion of Knowledge” , “Skilled Capacity Building” and “Decrease the treatment Disparity across the different settings” in the area of mental health and its specialities (Addiction/Women mental health/Rehabilitation etc). In this era of digital technology, the geographical distance and socio-economic status should not barrier for both Quality mental health care. Thanks to our mental health specialists who donated their precious time and support to make this viable and possible. We are now connected to more than >1500 health providers, >500 patients had directly benefitted and >10000 indirectly by the health work force connected to NIMHANS. The most rural and underserved patients visiting a district hospital of Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka also getting the same intervention as practised at NIMHANS.
Future looks very positive to us. In this context we are inviting any innovative ideas as well as funding opportunities that we can implement to upscale this further.
Thanking you all and Happy New Year
Prabhat and Team VKN
